Mavericks Surf Company is dedicated to the pursuit of surf and stoke, a passion for the ocean and desire for innovation and change. We share this stoke with our community through outreach, support and events. Jeff and his wife Cassandra are involved in a range of philanthropic efforts, with a primary focus on health initiatives, youth activities and ocean conservancy. Jeff serves as a surf ambassador for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Pipeline to a Cure, which provides those living with CF with surf adventures that provide the therapeutic benefits of salt water. Their support of the Sonoma children's charities and Schulz Foundation help provide services to youth in Sonoma County. As supporters of the Half Moon Bay Surf Club (via the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside) since its inception, local middle school and high school youth are able to experience the thrill and comaraderie of surfing. Support of the surf clubs has been especially important to Jeff, who attended school in Half Moon Bay as a child (when he wasn't cutting school to go surf!), and was one of only a handful of surfers in the town. There was no surf club or even much of an appreciation for "loser surfers" back in the day. To help the local kids gain access to equipment, training and skills shows the dramatic changes in the sport since he was a child.
